EDUCATION SERVICES PLUS

Through substantial baseline assessments, we are able to gain a better understanding of where the student is in decoding, fluency, and comprehension, and his or her current reading level.  That information is used to design a tutoring or coaching instructional programme that best fits the student’s specific reading and general academic needs. ESP operates on the principle that engaging a student according to his or her needs on one-on-one tutoring is worthy to that student.

 

We offer :

(a) Content Tutoring where we teach materials or subject

     content  that the student did not quite grasp in school. We

     use approaches and resources above and beyond what the

     school provides.

(b) Academic Tutoring where the focus is on sustaining long-

     term academic success.  The student’s interests,

    challenges, and goals are key in this component. We teach

    time-management, study skills, setting of personal goals, and

    self-monitoring of progress, and focus on providing

    motivation. Additionally we teach students to use reading

    and writing literacy skills across content areas such as

    mathematics and social studies.

(c) Test Preparation Tutoring where we teach the student how

     to answer different levels of test questions and how to use

     strategies that optimize learning  and test performance.
